26/10/09  Early Years assessment for IntegrisG2

This exciting new module provides schools with increased functionality and the ability to record children’s progress against the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Profile.

Assessment Analysis
The module includes all statutory areas of learning, strands and scales in line with the EYFS profile, making it easy for teachers to assess the personal development of each child as they progress through the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The Early Years Assessment module in IntegrisG2 goes beyond the normal requirements as schools can also indicate during which half-term a particular scale point was achieved. This information can be very useful for reports and data analysis as it will provide a more personalised view of each child’s progress.

Advanced Data Entry
As well as being able to enter student data individually, the Group Entry area allows schools to enter data for a number of children on screen at the same time. This can be for an entire Class or a personalised Group created by the school to make it easier to filter the data, such as children of different ages, or ethnicity from across the school.

The drop-down menus also make it easy to select a strand, mark all children on screen against that scale point, and then move to another strand without having to leave the current screen. A full description of each of the scale points is also available as a pop-up, and when changing between strands the description will change to match the current selection.

Comments against strands
There is also the option of including internal comments to help the School better understand the child’s progress, and external comments to share with parents.

Fully Integrated System
The Early Years Assessment module is fully integrated with IntegrisG2, eliminating the need for schools to import data from another system. If the child remains with the school at the end of term and progresses from reception classes and nursery to Year 1, the school does not have to re-enter any data or export it to another system.
